The Human Rights Project (HRP) is a student-led organization at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. We curate a series of public events to elevate the importance of human rights issues in the international arena, by connecting academia with practitioners in the field of human rights law, humanitarian law, international business, sustainable development, conflict resolution, and other related disciplines.
HRP offers a Practicum component that serves as a collaborative platform for research and multidisciplinary projects that are critical, operational and forward-looking. Themes and format are considered to meet both the needs of partnering organizations and interests of our student body. Student teams work directly with clients or indirectly through professors of practice; once matched with a project -- our primary goals are:
To generate findings, insights and high-quality reports that inform practitioners on issues beneficial to their organization or activities;
To equip students with practical experience in areas relevant to their studies and professional interests;
To foster relationships among human rights/international affairs practitioners and the Fletcher community.
